Buffalo, Oklahoma is the county seat of Harper County in the northwest corner of the state, at the eastern end of the Oklahoma panhandle. Full of history, the town is on the crossroads of the Fort Dodge Trail out of Kansas. Buffalo Springs Museum houses local artifacts. Historic and other features of interest include a furnished sod house and natural springs.
Buffalo was formerly a Certified City and has successfully transitioned to a Century Community.
Buffalo recently won recognition by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce for completion of Project 2002, a competition to improve parks.
