Duncan, Oklahoma is located in Stephens County in the south-central part of the state. The Duncan Area Industrial Park at Highway 81 & State Highway 7 are within 35 minutes of I-35, I-44, and I-40. Duncan is home of one of Oklahoma's new Higher Education Centers, which brings quality post-secondary education from surrounding colleges and universities to the community.

Duncan is an active Main Street community. The Oklahoma Main Street Program is a downtown revitalization program administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

Duncan was formerly a Certified City and has successfully transitioned to a Century Community.
